PVC Foam

PVC Foam is capable of meeting a variety of sealing and cushioning needs, PVC Foam possesses a number of qualities which make it uniquely suited to a number of industrial tasks. Some of those features are as follows:

  • Offered in adhesive and non-adhesive varieties
  • Capable of serving in temperatures ranging from -20°F to 180°F
  • Resistant to many solvents and chemicals
  • Compatible with substrates such as paper, polyester, and aluminum
  • Seals out light, dust, moisture, and air
  • Fire resistant
  • Capable of cushioning against vibration

Popular PVC Foam products are Sof-Seal and 70P UL. Sof-Seal is a soft foam which is meant for use in applications where a low force is used to compress the foam. 70P UL is focused on electrical uses, as it is a low-density industrial foam which is ANSI/UL94 approved.

Sof-Seal Foam

Sof-Seal Foam is a very soft industrial PVC Foam and it is used in applications that require low force to compress.

URETHANE FOAM

Rogers PORON® Microcellular Urethanes for Gasketing and Sealing offer following benefits:

  • Excellent compression set resistance which enables durable, long-term performance for gasketing, sealing, and cushioning.
  • Low-outgassing and non-fogging, containing no plasticizers or residual chemicals to contaminate the device. The material will not become brittle and crumble and is non-corrosive to metal.
  • Inherently flame retardant without the use of additives. Many of the materials meet flammability requirements of UL HBF and MVSS 302.
  • Good chemical resistance
  • Easy to fabricate, die-cuts cleanly and works with a broad range of adhesives
  • Broad range of formulas and thicknesses from 0.012" to 0.500" (0.43mm to 12.7mm)

PORON® 4701-30 Very soft, easily compressed for use where flexibility is a key requirement. Standard available thickness range from 0.021".
